Home Renovation Savings:
Attic insulation
The program’s standalone attic route does not require a home energy assessment. It requires an eligible homeowner, a participating insulation contractor and insulation across the full roof-assembly area. The attic schedule is:
| Before upgrade | Minimum finish | Maximum rebate |
|---|---|---|
| R-12 or less | R-50 | $1,250 |
| Above R-12 through R-25 | R-50 | $1,000 |
| Above R-25 through R-35 | R-50 | $800 |
Eligibility includes qualifying home types and heating arrangements: Enbridge natural-gas heat, or eligible electricity-grid-connected homes heated by electricity, oil, propane or wood. New homes occupied for six months or less and stacked townhomes are excluded. Other terms apply.
Start with the program’s eligibility form and contractor list. Confirm the required route before booking; the participating contractor handles the program documentation.

Two or more upgrades
This route requires an initial assessment by a registered energy advisor before work, at least two qualifying upgrades and a follow-up assessment. The attic schedule differs from the standalone route:
| Before upgrade | Minimum finish | Maximum rebate |
|---|---|---|
| R-12 or less | R-50 | $1,500 |
| Above R-12 through R-25 | R-50 | $1,200 |
| Above R-25 through R-35 | R-50 | $900 |
Air sealing may also qualify under this route when the program’s measured targets are achieved. An insulation job and its supporting work do not automatically count as two qualifying upgrades. Ask the energy advisor which measures meet the rules for your home.

Enbridge Gas and Save on Energy offer no-cost upgrades for qualifying homes and households. The process uses authorized delivery agents and includes an assessment to determine which improvements the home needs.
The gas-heated route has account, heating and household eligibility conditions. Electrically heated households are directed to the Energy Affordability Program. The official application explains the current income or benefit criteria and rental requirements.

Affordability Program
Natural Resources Canada describes this program as no-cost retrofit support for low- to median-income homeowners and tenants, delivered through partners. It can include insulation and air sealing.
Check the federal page for participating jurisdictions and current delivery arrangements. Use the federal page to check the current delivery route for your province before planning work around this support.

The Canada Greener Homes Grant is closed. The Canada Greener Homes Loan stopped accepting new applications after October 1, 2025. Older advertisements for those programs should not be treated as a current offer for a new application.
Before you commit: confirm the program route, your home’s eligibility, any pre-work assessment or approval, the contractor requirements and whether support can be combined. Airway’s quote is a work proposal; the program administrator decides rebate eligibility and payment. Use the official application for income, account and other program documents.
PLAN THE TIMING
Before the
work begins.
Does R-60 automatically mean I get a rebate?
No. A finished insulation level is only one requirement. Starting conditions, the selected route, eligible property type, contractor requirements and program documentation also matter.
Do I always need a home energy assessment?
The routes differ. The standalone attic option uses participating contractors and does not require an energy assessment. The bundled route requires assessments before and after the work.
Can I use this contact form as a rebate application?
No. Airway’s form requests a quote. Follow the official program links to apply or confirm eligibility, then tell us which route you are considering.
